⁷ Now ^(A)the angel of Yahweh found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to ^(B)Shur. ⁸ And he said, “Hagar, Sarai’s servant-woman, ^(C)where have you come from and where are you going?” And she said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.” ⁹ Then the angel of Yahweh said to her, “Return to your mistress and ^[a]humble yourself under her hands.”
